 Established in 1986, the Bayou is Long Island's original home of Cajun/Creole food, cocktails and BIG FUN!! Highly rated by Zagat Survey, we feature a  "Vieux Carre" menu; a small set menu with specials that change daily. This unique dining experience is derived from the style and presentation found in many of the best restaurants in the French Quarter of New Orleans.

   Our Chef, Christopher Byrne, presents daily specials that include choice cuts of meat, chicken, fresh fish and pasta with "hot to not" sauces. The creative Cajun/Creole cuisine, with  its unique flavors, has broad appeal. You can get very spicy dishes, mild ones, or anything in between. House specials include crispy pan-fried catfish filets smothered in a crawfish scallion cream sauce, chocolate jalapeno bbq  ribs and pasta jambalaya - andouille, smoked chicken and shrimp drenched in a spicy alfredo sauce. 

     Our lively bar features  Exotic New Orleans cocktails  including  the Hurricane, Bayou Blaster, Cyclone and "simply the best" Bloody Mary anywhere! We feature live entertainment  on Fridays and serve up BIG FUN six days a week! So come on down, kick back and savor the Cajun magic of The Bayou!
